About the Farm
Background
Awarded 2012 Farmer of the Year by the Greater Wapato Area Chamber of Commerce and Top Animal Welfare Certification by Animal Welfare Approved in 2011, the farm has established itself as a reputable breeder and grower of high-quality organic grass-fed beef. Operating on 128 acres of organic grass hay, the farm maintains a closed herd of over 100 cows and their calves, ensuring control over the entire breeding and raising process.
Practices
The farm adheres to American Grassfed approved methods, emphasizing free-range practices and rigorous health and safety inspections. The cattle are bred, born, raised, and finished on irrigated organic grass pastures, resulting in beef known for excellent marbling and longer loin muscle. The breeding program focuses on two breeds: Angus and Limousin, chosen for their superior meat quality.
The Rest
Beef is available year-round and can be picked up at the farm in the Lower Yakima Valley. Additionally, the farm offers two low-cost delivery options: regular deliveries to pick-up spots in the Seattle, Portland, and Vancouver metro areas, and deliveries via refrigerated truck to San Francisco and Sacramento in California, or to Portland, Oregon.
