About the Farm
Background
Hollyaire Farms was a 110-acre farm owned and operated by Vaughn and Mary Ball, who moved back after retirement. The farm originally grew cherries, blackberries, walnuts, peaches, filberts, and holly trees, with holly decor being mailed globally. After Vaughn's passing in 1991, the farm was split and sold, but 15 acres of holly and sour cherry trees remain, now known again as Hollyaire.
Practices
The farm maintains traditional methods of holly harvest and wreath making during the winter season. Visitors can witness these practices firsthand and even participate in making fresh apple cider in the fall. The cherry orchard blooms in April, and sour cherries are harvested in July.
The Rest
Farm visits can be scheduled for $30 an hour for up to 4 people, including demonstrations of holly harvest and wreath making. Photography sessions are available for $50 an hour, with prime seasons being spring and winter. Products available include sour cherries, holly wreaths, hazelnuts, and kettle corn.
