About the Farm
Background
Established in 2010, this family-owned and operated farm began as Bobby's dream while he was studying horticulture in college. The farm, named Highway 19 Produce and Berries, has grown to include multiple family members and operates on three growing grounds located on North 19, South 19, and Country Road 1119. Initially focused on nursery stock, the farm transitioned to produce and berries.
Practices
The farm emphasizes non-GMO, chemical-free produce and berries, utilizing organic fertilizers such as fish emulsions, pasteurized chicken manure, and compost teas. This commitment to organic practices ensures that the produce is grown without synthetic chemicals, fostering a healthier ecosystem and providing nutrient-rich food.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a U-Pick-It Strawberry Patch and a Produce Market. The farm also offers a variety of homemade products including jams, jellies, pickles, breads, granolas, and dried apples. These items are available at local markets, restaurants, co-ops, and grocery stores.
