About the Farm
Background
The farm is known for its high-quality Saanen dairy goat herd, which includes 35 milking does and seven bucks. The mother of one of the does was rated the second-highest in milk volume and protein production in the world.
Practices
The goats are fed alfalfa, hay grown on the farm's pastures, and locally processed grain concentrates. The milk is filtered and quickly chilled in a bulk tank cooler. Breeding bucks are sourced from leading Saanen dairy goat herds in the United States.
The Rest
The farm produces and sells fresh goat milk daily, with prices at $10 per gallon and $5 per half gallon. Customers are encouraged to bring their own containers. The farm also sells milking does, open and bred yearling does, bucks, and kid doelings and wethers. Farm tours are available for visitors.
