Date Creek Ranch

One of the oldest working cattle ranches in Arizona, Date Creek Ranch has been providing grass-fed beef and lamb, pastured chickens, and natural pork to local families since 1985. Originally managed by Kimberley Knight and Stefan Wolf, the ranch is now operated by Ryan Barteau and Savannah Figueroa.

Committed to holistic management, the ranch treats all animals humanely and with respect. The cattle forage for their own feed year-round and are finished on irrigated pasture, never knowing a feedlot or tasting grain, soy, or corn. The ranch has not used pesticides, chemicals, or herbicides since 1983. They practice predator-friendly farming, believing all wildlife, including predators, play a vital role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. The ranch is entirely solar-powered and focuses on sequestering carbon and maintaining nutrient-dense soil.

Visitors are encouraged to tour the ranch and enjoy activities like picking organic peaches in July and apples in September. The ranch offers a picnic area under giant cottonwood trees and sells all products directly to customers. Their meat is hormone and antibiotic-free, with beef and lamb being 100% grass-fed, and chickens and pork being organic, non-GMO, and soy-free.
