About the Farm
Background
In May 2013, a 60-acre farm in Geauga County, Ohio was purchased with the vision of living a more sustainable life and sharing a passion for humanely raised, high-quality food. Over the past 11 years, the farm has become known for its dedication to organic farming and the preservation of heritage breeds.
Practices
The farm never uses chemical fertilizers or pesticides, adhering strictly to organic methods. The philosophy centers around working with the seasons, ensuring animals are born in spring and summer to benefit from natural conditions. Heritage breeds, chosen for their superior taste and adaptability to pasture life, are raised without routine antibiotics or genetically modified feed. The farm also cultivates heirloom fruit trees and vegetables, enriching the soil with compost created on-site.
The Rest
Visitors are encouraged to tour the farm to witness the humane and sustainable practices firsthand. The farm offers grass-fed and finished beef, lamb, free-range eggs, pastured heritage pork, and heirloom vegetables. The farm store is open on Thursdays and Saturdays, with an option for online ordering and pre-reservation of products.
