About the Farm
Background
Located in western Atoka County along the Clear Boggy River and Birch Creek, the farm spans approximately 700 acres of leased and owned land that has been in the family for four generations. The farm is known for its diverse production of vegetables, fruits, herbs, pecans, and grass-fed meats, many of which were grown by earlier generations.
Practices
The farm employs organic practices and focuses on sustainable agriculture to maintain a healthy, productive agroecosystem. The livestock, including Katahdin Hair Sheep and Red Angus cattle, are 100% grass-fed and finished on native and improved pastures with annual plantings of cool-season forage such as wheat, ryegrass, and brassicas. The farm also offers pastured free-range eggs and poultry.
The Rest
During the Autumn Harvest, the farm features a pumpkin patch, maze, hay ride, petting zoo, bounce house, and other activities for children. They offer CSA memberships from May to October, providing weekly shares of fresh produce, eggs, and meats, with deliveries available in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The farm also sells fall ornamentals like gourds, Indian corn, corn stalks, straw bales, and mums.
