About the Farm

Background

Near the foothills of the Adirondacks, Christopher and Pam purchased an Amish dairy farm and transformed it into a diversified farm. They are known for their commitment to holistic, sustainable, and organic farming methods, rejecting GMOs and synthetic chemicals. The farm has grown to include a variety of products such as eggs, meats, and maple syrup, and has built strong partnerships within their local community.

Practices

The farm regenerates land by fencing more fields for grazing each year and feeding animals with their own hay and locally grown, non-GMO, unsprayed grains. Manure from the animals fertilizes the pastures, creating a continuous cycle of regeneration. They avoid harmful pesticides and herbicides, which benefits pollinators like honey bees. The farm also practices selective logging with draft horses to preserve biodiversity and uses holistic methods to raise heritage and heirloom breeds, ensuring the health of the land and the animals.

The Rest

The farm offers a variety of products for market, including free-range eggs, grass-fed beef, pasture-raised chicken, duck, and heritage-breed pork, grass-finished rose veal, pasture-raised turkey, single-origin maple syrup, and raw honey. They also produce heirloom and open-pollinated vegetables. The farm values community partnerships and works with neighbors to provide high-quality products. Their humane practices ensure that animals are treated with respect and allowed to live naturally.
