About the Event

Calling all food connoisseurs, brew buffs, wine aficionados, and buy-local enthusiasts. Don’t miss the ultimate Buy-Local, Taste-Local event showcasing the exceptional locally sourced products and culinary expertise of Harford County! This epicurean event features farms, restaurants, caterers, breweries, and wineries from every corner of the County!

Hosted in partnership with the Harford County Farm Bureau, Visit Harford!, the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, MD Department of Agriculture, and the Restaurant Association of Maryland, the Taste of Harford will be a feast for the senses with delicious offerings from more than 30 restaurants, crisp cold sips from participating breweries and wineries, a mini farmers market, offerings from local artisans and boutiques, live music and more. Tickets are $40 or 2 for $75. Proceeds support the Harford County Public Library Rolling Reader, an outreach vehicle that serves under-resourced communities. To purchase tickets visit https://hcplonline.org/tohattend.php.

Participating restaurants include The Local, Lib’s Grill & Catering, Pairings Bistro, Crossroads Bistro, Vandiver Inn, One Eleven Main, The Abbey Burger Bistro, Uncle’s, Pat’s Pizzeria, Coffee Coffee, Pond View Farm, Brooms Bloom Dairy, Island Spice, Sodor’s Event Catering, Full Circle Boards, J’Ville Grille, Mr. Souvlaki, Flavor Cupcakery & Bake Shop, Gast Family Farms, Newberry Café and Bakery, Say Delicious Confections, Klein’s ShopRite of Maryland, Hickory Chance Beef, Fresh Source Farm, Dany’s Robin Hood Farm, Granova Poultry, Highview Farms, Brad’s Farm Market, Deer Meadow Farm, Char Hope Foundation, Jones Family Farm, Lohr’s Orchard, Harford Vineyard, Fiore Winery & Distillery, Independent Brewing Company, and Market Street Brewery.

To add to the excitement of the event, a people’s choice “Best Bites” competition will take place in several categories to be announced in April. The Restaurant Association of Maryland and the MD Department of Agriculture will also be on hand to offer a “golden ticket” to the winner of a VIP best bite competition that includes blue catfish. Golden Ticket holders win a spot to compete in the World Food Championships in Indianapolis. To be a VIP judge for the Golden Ticket competition, please contact Amber Shrodes at 410.273.5600 x 6583 or shrodes@hcplonline.org.

For Restaurants and Vendors:
The event is free for local restaurants, caterers, farms, breweries, and wineries, who would like to participate. We are asking these partners to provide 350 “tastes” of a dish they would like to showcase at the event. Restaurants are asked to include at least one local ingredient in their “taste”. Product costs for the “taste” and the expense of a temporary food license, if necessary, are considered in-kind donations to the Library.

Vendor tables are available for $100, which includes two tickets to the event, or $35 for vendors not interested in tasting activities. Only 20 spaces are available. Farms, greenhouses, artisans, authors, boutiques, popups, nonprofits, and other businesses are welcome! All participants will receive a letter recognizing this donation from the Library Foundation that can be used for tax-deductible purposes. To learn more, contact Amber Shrodes at 410.273.5600 x 6583 or shrodes@hcplonline.org.
