HOW TO GROW DAHLIAS IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

Yes, you CAN grow dahlias in Florida! Join Eileen of FarmGal Flowers for this dahlia intensive. Eileen will share her secrets for growing these beautiful flowers in the Florida sun. Students will learn:

• when and how to plant tubers

• how to maintain and stake dahlias

• which varieties grow best here

• how to harvest blooms and extend vase life

• how to dig, divide, and store tubers

Eileen will answer all of your dahlia questions, share one of her all time favorite tubers with you, and you will receive a dahlia tuber dividing knife!

This workshop will be held outdoors in the East End Market garden. Students will be notified as soon as possible if the workshop needs to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Please bring gardening gloves (if you would like to handle tubers), pen, notebook, hat, water, etc.
