About the Event

Let's come together to harvest for good and ensure that everyone in our community can access nutritious food!

Join the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and the Office of Vice Mayor Larry Agran at Harvest Solutions Farm on Saturday March 23, 2024, from 8 AM - 11 AM. This event is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community and connect with fellow volunteers. The event promises for a day of meaningful work and camaraderie.

Located at 12751 Lambert Road, Irvine, CA 92618, the Harvest Solutions Farm offers a picturesque setting where YOU can make a difference. By participating in this volunteer event, you'll have the chance to engage in various farm activities such as planting, harvesting, weeding, and maintaining the fields. Winter crops include cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and broccolini.

With the cost of food remaining high and CalFresh emergency allotments recently ending, community partners across Orange County are seeing increased demand from our neighbors in need of food. In April 2023, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County served over 430,000 people — the highest in 22 months.

Remember to wear comfortable clothing and bring your enthusiasm! We'll provide all the necessary tools and equipment. Together, let's positively impact our community and support local agriculture. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to contribute to the Harvest Solutions Farm as #WeFeedOC!

Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County's vision is to ensure food and nutritional security for all. They strive to provide dignified, equitable, and consistent access to nutritious food, building a strong foundation for community health. With the support of their partners and the community, they have made significant progress in achieving this mission.
