About the Event

Join Rooted Connections for an educational guided hike through Lepard Nature Preserve to learn about edible, medicinal & native plants!

Come join Rooted Connections for a fun and educational Guided Plant Hike at Lepard Nature Preserve! This in-person event is perfect for nature lovers and those interested in foraging, plant medicine and native plants. Explore the 1 mile trail loop with wild plant enthusiast Heather Walsh and learn about different plant species that call this preserve home. Discover the world of foraging & plant medicine, taste some flavors of spring and see Michigan native plant species in the wild, while enjoying a hike through this park's scenic trails.

Plenty of parking lot parking available. We will meet at the trailhead at the parking lot. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to sign waivers and prepare for our walk. If you arrive late, we can not wait for you but please come join us along the main trail system.

This Plant Walk is for folks age 13+. This trail contains some hills to climb and potential muddy conditions.

All Rooted Connections events are a safe place for members of the LBGTQIA+ & BIPOC communities.
