Grassland Bird Walk at Chestnut Hill Farm
About the Event
Chestnut Hill Farm is a Trustees property in Southborough which offers a wonderful environment of farm fields and a grassland area as well as some forest paths.. They regularly get Bobolinks, Indigo Buntings, Swallows, Savannah Sparrows and Kestrels — with many other possibilities. These grassland nesting birds require open fields for nesting.
Did you know Bobolinks have an impressive yearly migration of up to 12,500 miles from South to North America and back again?

Sturdy shoes are recommended as we'll be walking in fields and woodland paths. Please bring water and bug protection. Some binoculars are available for you to borrow. Dogs are not allowed on these birding walks. Beginner birders are welcome!
