This month, our featured presenter is Mary Christine Parks, MSW, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, ICAADC, RYT200. THE SOUP WE’RE SWIMMING…The therapist’s role in repairing our country’s polarization and it’s importance in fully addressing mental health.
Mary Christine Parks is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, a Certified Clinical Supervisor, an Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Registered Yoga Teacher. Mary Christine completed her undergraduate degree in Deaf Education with a concentration in Psychology and a minor in Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University where she also obtained certifications in substance abuse treatment and the treatment of Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals. Mary Christine has provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy; treating children and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health disorders in several community agencies and in private practice. Mary Christine strives to meet the unique needs of each client using a variety of treatment modalities and feels that it is great privilege to witness their incredible journey of recovery.
