About the Event

Learn all about Korean Natural Farming techniques along with our beginning farmers at the California Farm Academy Speakers Series event!

Koby Guye from Cellar Door Collective will be our April speaker. He'll give an overview of the core principles of KNF, which emphasize the importance of working with nature to cultivate healthy soil and plants. This will include a discussion on the concept of indigenous microorganisms and their role in enhancing soil health and plant growth. KNF advocates for natural methods of pest and disease control, such as fermented plant extracts, herbal teas, and beneficial insects.

Fermentation is a key aspect of KNF, used to produce natural fertilizers, pesticides, and soil amendments at low costs for the farmer. We'll discuss different fermentation techniques and how natural farming techniques such as composting, microbial inoculants, and soil amendments can improve soil fertility, structure, and resilience.

Woodfired pizzas and beverages are provided, and if you can bring something to share, please do.
