Celebrating the rich legacy and enduring contributions of African American cowboys and frontiersmen, the Black Cowboy Festival is an annual rendezvous of education, recreation, and cultural appreciation. The festival has become a cornerstone event in promoting the historical and contemporary significance of African American contributions to cowboy and frontier culture.
People come from all over to experience the excitement and historical enlightenment of skilled horsemanship. A great crowd-pleaser for all ages, the festival consists of competitive rodeo events, demonstrators, entertainers, horseback rides, line dancing, calf roping wagon rides, artifacts, and food vendors.
