About the Event
There are more than 1,800 plant species in the Concord area! How many can we find around the Colonel James Barrett House and adjacent conservation land? Learn more about the taxonomic group of plants and allies. This event is suitable for all ages.
A BioBlitz is an intensive survey to document as many species as possible within a designated time period including plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms greater than one millimeter in size. The Battle Road BioBlitz will engage scientists, naturalists, and the interested public on public conservation land along the Battle Road between Fiske Hill in Lexington, through Lincoln, and including the Barrett Farm in Concord, the destination of the British Troops on April 19, 1775.
This event is co-sponsored by Minute Man National Historical Park, Friends of Minute Man National Park, the Town of Concord, and Concord Land Conservation Trust.
