Come experience the wonder of sustainable seafood, nature and science at this iconic California landmark where we culture abalone and seaweed and ranch sea urchin.

Get an insider's look at our vibrant working farm and the processes that produce sustainable seafood, from spawning to harvest, learn about our collaborations with leading scientific institutions, and have the opportunity to purchase fresh abalone, sea urchin, and seaweed directly from the source.

Located just 20 minutes north of Santa Barbara, our farm is nestled between the beautiful Gaviota Coast and Santa Ynez mountains. Tours presented in partnership with Dos Pueblos Institute.

We are not able to accommodate drop-in visitors—no exceptions.

Things to know before your tour:

  • Wear closed-toed walking shoes. We're a working farm!
  • Please bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early. The tour will start right on time.
  • Bring a reusable cooler if you plan to purchase seafood.
  • If you'd like to pre-order abalone or sea urchin, order via the Tour Pre Order section of our website. Select "Store pickup" for your product to be ready at the end of your tour.
  • Abalone, sea urchin, and seaweed, as well as a variety of marine merchandise will also be available for purchase at our Tours Store before and after your tour.
  • Tours are held rain or shine
  • Directions and parking information are sent to you upon ticket confirmation
  • Yes, you will be able to hold and touch the abalone, sea urchins and seaweed :)
