Wakefield Farmers Market

Since 2009, the Wakefield Farmers Market has been a staple in the community, running from mid-June to mid-October. It is a program of the Wakefield Climate Action Project, Inc., and has become known for its wide array of fresh, locally sourced products and vibrant community atmosphere.

The market emphasizes local agriculture by featuring vendors who provide pasture-raised meats, poultry, and eggs, as well as locally grown fruits and vegetables. This focus on local sourcing supports sustainable farming practices and reduces the carbon footprint associated with food transportation.

Visitors can enjoy a diverse selection of products including pastries, breads, Middle Eastern food, salsa, maple products, handmade cheeses, pies, popovers, cookies, seafood, cut flowers, artisan sauces, jams, jellies, dessert sauces, wine, hard cider, root and ginger beer. The market also hosts various artisans, special events for children, food demonstrations, live music, and offers beverages from Pour Man's Coffee. It operates rain or shine every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
