About the Market

Background

On August 3, 2008, farmers and artisans from around South Kona joined with the Amy B. H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden to open the Green Market, reviving ancient farm fields with products grown and created by local hands.

Practices

Committed to sustainability, natural practices, and diversity, the market works with the earth to produce quality food and art for the local community.

The Rest

The market is a gathering place for family and friends to enjoy good food, craftsmanship, and the beautiful gardens, operating every Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm.
