About the Farm
Background
A local, family-owned farm with a 40-year history, known for its U-Pick blueberry offerings. Over the past decade, the farm has committed to being pesticide-free, providing a safe and natural environment for berry picking.
Practices
For over ten years, the farm has operated without the use of pesticides, ensuring that all produce is grown in a natural and healthy manner. The farm allows wild blackberries to grow alongside their cultivated crops, promoting biodiversity and a more resilient ecosystem.
The Rest
In addition to blueberries, visitors can find seedling pecans that bear small nuts in the fall and a couple of fig trees. The farm's produce availability varies, with blueberries typically ready from the second week of June through July, figs in July, and blackberries in June. The farm is currently temporarily closed, with updates to be provided on reopening.
