About the Farm
Background
Founded in 1992 by Peter and Gloria Bianchini as part of their retirement, the orchard has grown significantly with the involvement of their daughter Renee Norton and her husband Dennis, who joined in 2003. The family business expanded further with the addition of their children and other family members, each bringing unique skills to the orchard. Over the years, the orchard has become known for its diverse apple varieties, unique attractions like the Amaze 'N Apples maze, and a strong sense of community and family involvement.
Practices
The orchard employs integrated pest management techniques to maintain the health of their crops. They continually plant new apple varieties each spring, ensuring a diverse and robust selection of fruit. The family-run operation emphasizes hands-on care and attention to detail in all aspects of farming, from planting to harvesting.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities including hay rides, a train, carousel, and orchard tours. The orchard features a unique apple tree maze with 1.5 miles of trails, a bakery offering fresh apple cider donuts, and a Country Market gift shop. The Entertainment Area offers tokens for various rides, and the orchard provides containers for U-pick activities. Fresh picked apples, melons, peaches, pumpkins, and squash are available for purchase at the Apple Barn and Harvest Barn. The orchard also hosts special events and has a Fruit Tree Nursery where visitors can purchase their own fruit trees.
