About the Farm
Background
Established in 1985 as Quarter Circle H Farm, the operation initially raised Holstein Replacement Heifers and alfalfa hay. In 1996, a shift to Angus cattle was driven by a strong interest in animal genetics. After extensive research and acquiring a foundation herd from 5 Star Land and Livestock, the farm began focusing on breeding balanced AI and herd sires to improve calving ease, growth, carcass, and efficiency. The farm has been raising registered Angus and Angus cross cattle since then, providing both seedstock for breeders and naturally-raised beef for consumers.
Practices
The farm's natural beef program ensures that cattle are never given growth-promoting hormones, antibiotic feeds, or artificial ingredients. They offer both grass-finished and grain-finished beef, tailored to consumer needs. The farm is enrolled in the American Angus Association's AHIR program, utilizing EPD data to select traits that enhance cattle genetics. All beef is processed by an Arizona Department of Agriculture inspected plant, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
The Rest
In addition to beef, the farm now offers all-natural pork on a limited basis. Beef is sold by the half or whole, with local sales by the cut when available. Orders are taken in winter and spring for fall delivery. The farm is currently sold out for 2024 but maintains a cancellation list for interested customers.
