About the Farm

Background

Established in 1913, Prudom Farms is a family-run operation now spanning six generations. Known for its cooperation with local farmers, the farm has built a reputation for providing a large variety of local produce and supporting the local economy.

Practices

The farm grows a diverse range of vegetables, berries, and livestock on 150 acres of land, utilizing mostly heirloom seeds. Fruit orchards are leased each year, and the farm offers produce from spring to fall, including asparagus, strawberries, rhubarb, apples, pumpkins, winter squash, and potatoes. Dried herbs and fruit are available year-round. The farm emphasizes natural growing methods and has fruit trees that have been around for generations.

The Rest

The farm is open from 9 am to dusk from May to November, or until the first hard frost. It accepts cash, credit, debit, WIC, and farm market coupons, and is certified to accept State of New York 'Frozen, Fresh or Canned Fruit and Vegetables' WIC coupons and USDA SNAP benefits. Visitors are requested not to make phone calls.
