Nature's Roots Farm

Nature's Roots Farm has established itself as a cornerstone in the community by not only producing high-quality, nutrient-dense foods but also by serving as an educational outreach center. The farm aims to equip individuals of all ages with the knowledge and support needed to start small farms and create local food markets.

The farm employs holistic agroforestry, animal husbandry, and pasture management principles to produce its goods. By integrating trees and shrubs into their farming systems, they enhance biodiversity and soil health. The animals are raised on pasture, with grass-fed beef and dairy, forest-raised pork, and pastured eggs and chicken forming the core of their livestock operations. These practices ensure that the land is treated with respect and that the food produced is of the highest quality.

Nature's Roots Farm offers a wide range of products and services including ferments, fresh bread, specialty items, seasonal fruits and vegetables, plants and tree nursery, milled lumber, wood chipping services, firewood, and agroforestry consulting. They also provide educational seminars, workshops, and free farm tours. While they do not ship products, they deliver to several locations including Durham, Wake Forest, Raleigh, Apex, Chapel Hill, and North Wake Forest.
