About the Farm
Background
Cindy and Rod have dedicated themselves to cultivating naturally grown produce and maintaining a mixed-breed flock of chickens. Their farm also features a historic cabin available for short-term stays, adding a touch of rustic charm to their agricultural endeavors.
Practices
The farm employs strictly organic methods in growing fruits and vegetables, ensuring no chemical inputs are used. Certified beekeepers, Cindy and Rod manage their hives with a non-chemical approach, promoting healthy bee populations. Their chickens roam freely outside the henhouse, resulting in nutrient-rich eggs with vibrant orange yolks. Winter greens are cultivated in an unheated hoop-house, extending the growing season without artificial heating.
The Rest
In addition to fresh produce and eggs, the farm offers value-added products like jams and jellies made from organic fruit and wild berries. The historic cabin on the property provides a unique lodging experience for visitors, blending agricultural life with a touch of history.
