Kings Poultry Farm

King’s Poultry Farm, located in mid-western Ohio, has been a family-owned and operated business for over two decades. The farm was founded by William and Marilyn King, who started with a small 670 square foot plant. Over the years, the farm has grown significantly, becoming known for its high-quality poultry products. William King, who initially built the plant, continues to inspect every carcass to ensure it meets their high standards. Marilyn King, who helped start the business to keep their five boys busy, now manages various administrative and quality control tasks. Their sons, Levi and Reuben, also play crucial roles in managing operations and maintaining the farm.

The farm raises chickens on the floor in large barns, providing protection from predators, disease, and inclement weather. The chickens are fed a high-quality, non-GMO grain diet and are free to roam indoors, ensuring adequate climate control and disease prevention. The farm adheres to strict humane handling standards, raising chickens from day-old chicks to fully grown birds under direct supervision. The chickens are processed in the farm's USDA-inspected plant without the use of chemical antibacterials or preservatives. The farm emphasizes the importance of a healthy and happy flock, implementing high welfare and safety standards throughout the entire process.

King’s Poultry Farm products are available for purchase at 'Kings County Market' located at the plant and at various retail locations. The farm is also actively involved in the Ohio Association of Meat Processors, with Levi King serving as a past president and current board member. The family enjoys various hobbies and community involvement, including volunteer firefighting and home improvement projects.
