About the Farm
Background
After years of illness and moving as a military family, Sandy chose to return to her southern roots, initially settling on 13 acres of raw land in Texas. Five years later, the farm expanded to 45 acres in East Texas. The farm focuses on conserving endangered heritage breeds and raising soy-free, GMO-free products for the public.
Practices
The farm employs holistic methods, raising pastured animals on a natural, organic, soy-free, and GMO-free diet. They specialize in heritage breeds such as Jacob Sheep, Black Spanish Turkeys, and Polish chickens. The farm follows USDA organic guidelines, although it is not certified organic.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of products including poultry, eggs, wool, and more, with availability changing seasonally. They also have an emerging bakery, rescue, and herbalist services. Visitors are encouraged to join the email list for updates on product availability and farm events.
