About the Farm

Background

In the early 2000s, a young family with small children and less than optimal health began a journey towards better health through traditional foods. This journey led them to establish a farm centered around ancient farming practices of perennial grass and pastured livestock. Over time, they have seen miraculous health improvements in their own family and customers by choosing old-fashioned nutrition over modern processed foods.

Practices

The farm employs a managed rotational grazing system for their 100% grass-fed dairy and beef, ensuring the animals are moved regularly to fresh pasture. Chickens and turkeys are raised on pasture in floorless portable shelters, moved daily. Pigs are fed dairy whey and GMO-free grain, raised outdoors on pasture and in woodlots. No synthetic growth hormones, drugs, antibiotics, chemicals, or genetically modified grains are used. Poultry is humanely processed on the farm, while beef and pork are processed by local butchers. The farm's practices are beyond organic, focusing on compassionate livestock husbandry and low-stress handling methods to enhance animal health and the nutritional profile of their products.

The Rest

The farm operates an on-farm retail store open Monday through Saturday and offers buying club deliveries within Pennsylvania. They also provide UPS delivery to the eastern half of the US. The farm emphasizes transparency, inviting customers to visit and learn about their food and farming values. They are committed to producing high-quality, unadulterated food, believing that healthy soil leads to healthy plants, animals, food, and ultimately, people.
