Free Verse Farm & Apothecary

Located in Chelsea, Vermont, this small hill farm has become known for its high-quality herbs and handcrafted herbal products. The farm has developed a reputation for its dedication to providing the community with potent and flavorful herbal preparations.

Herbs are hand-harvested and freshly dried on the farm, using traditional hanging bunches and a farm-made herb dryer to preserve their essential constituents. The farm employs only hand tools for soil work and relies on composts, manures, and mulches for fertility, avoiding any chemical inputs. This approach ensures that the herbs are cultivated as naturally as possible.

The farm offers two quarterly Community Supported Apothecary (CSA) memberships: a Tea Share and an Apothecary Share. Products are handcrafted in small batches in the farmhouse apothecary, emphasizing the farm's commitment to quality and care.
