Fletcher Community Farm

In its fourth season, the farm is exploring new ventures by concentrating on root crops, which thrive in their soil and can be stored for extended periods. The farm is relatively new, driven by passionate farmers eager to expand their knowledge and skills through various learning methods.

The farm remains committed to organic growing methods, producing a wide variety of vegetables on a manageable scale. They emphasize respect for natural systems and aim to model both sustainability and economic viability. Seasonal employment opportunities are provided, offering hands-on experience in mulching, planting, weeding, and harvesting, along with education in gardening and animal husbandry.

Located along the Merrimac River, the farm offers a beautiful setting for its operations. Vegetables not included in the Root CSA are available at the farmers market and shared with helpers. The farm actively engages with the community to strengthen the local food system and welcomes inquiries and visits.
