Delectation of Tomatoes

Delectation of Tomatoes, etc. moved to East Carbon, Utah in January 2020. The operation, which started as a one-person home-based business, has accumulated over 3,300 varieties of seeds, with a significant focus on tomatoes. The business has also been involved in providing seedlings of heirloom tomatoes and other vegetables in the Price area.

The farm uses all-natural and OMRI-listed products such as humates, compost/worm castings tea, sea kelp, and fish emulsion. Soil is amended with over 70 trace minerals, and pest control is managed through cultural practices and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles. The current focus is on seed production, with a variety of plants grown in small quantities.

The farm is situated at an elevation of 6,200 feet with a short growing season and no existing garden infrastructure. The owner is working on developing affordable technology for year-round food production, particularly through earth-sheltered greenhouses.
