About the Farm
Background
The farm has been active for many years, with significant events such as the birth of Isaac in July 2011 and the continuous growth of the family. Over the seasons, the farm has seen the construction of a barn, the creation of a portable 'chicken tractor,' and the preservation of garden produce through canning. The farm has also been involved in selling livestock and preparing for winter with firewood and hay storage.
Practices
Cattle are rotationally grazed and grass-fed, promoting healthy pastures and animal welfare. Pigs are conventionally raised with free-choice hay and graze on summer gardens during the winter, integrating crop and livestock systems. The farm also grows a variety of vegetables and produces both round and square bales of hay.
The Rest
The farm frequently updates its Facebook page with the latest news and photos. The family has been actively involved in maintaining and improving the farm infrastructure, such as building permanent fences and fixing equipment for hay season. They also engage in seasonal activities like canning produce and preparing firewood for winter.
