About the Farm
Background
Established in 1998, the farm has been a proud member of the Pennsylvania Christmas Tree Growers Association and has actively participated in Penn State workshops and seminars on tree growth and care. Over the years, the farm has become known for its community involvement, making donations to churches, schools, and the Trees For Troops program, as well as entering trees and wreaths in the local fair, earning several awards including best-of-show at the Bedford County Fair in 2009.
Practices
The farm focuses on nurturing products that improve the environment, emphasizing the cultivation of Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir, Concolor Fir, Blue Spruce, and Canaan Fir. Their practices include free drilling, shaking, and baling of trees, ensuring that customers receive well-prepared and cared-for evergreens.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a range of activities such as hayrides, horse-drawn wagon rides, and visits from Old Saint Nick and sled dogs from Wilderness Adventures Kennel. The farm also offers a variety of fresh wreaths, swags, candle rings, cemetery crosses, centerpieces, tree stands, and other Christmas items in their Christmas Shop. Free coloring books, hot beverages, and cookies are available for young and old alike. The farm is conveniently located less than 5 miles off the PA Turnpike and I-70, and offers a pleasant autumn experience for families to choose and tag their trees before cutting them down starting on Black Friday.
