Background
From humble beginnings with just three chickens on a quarter-acre, the farm has grown significantly, expanding its offerings to include organically-raised, pastured chicken, pork, grass-fed lamb, raw milk, eggs, and honey. The journey began with a deep love for farm animals and a commitment to connecting food with the land through hard work and love.
Practices
The farm employs rotational grazing and regenerative practices to ensure the health and vitality of their 100% grass-fed Jersey cows. These methods not only promote animal welfare but also enhance soil health and biodiversity. The emphasis on organic and pastured livestock underscores a commitment to sustainable and ethical farming.
The Rest
In addition to farming, the business includes a custom baking venture known as Little Home Baker, which started from a passion for baking cakes for family birthdays. This side of the business offers a variety of baked goods, including cakes, cupcakes, bars, cookies, breads, and bagels. Customers can embrace seasonal abundance through the farm's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and are encouraged to contact the farm directly for orders.
