About the Farm
Background
Located in the Great Northern Catskills, the farm has become known for its daily harvests and commitment to local distribution. The family-run operation markets through a CSA, local restaurants, and a supermarket, and has built a reputation for fresh, on-demand produce. The farm also engages with the community through outdoor education classes for grades 3-6 and offers a pick-your-own berry patch, cut flower section, and walking paths for tourists.
Practices
The farm adheres to strict Organic practices and is Certified Naturally Grown. Daily harvesting ensures the freshest produce, and the farm's philosophy includes community involvement through CSA member participation and educational initiatives. The farm also hosts interns through the Woofer organization, fostering a hands-on learning environment.
The Rest
Visitors can enjoy a pick-your-own berry patch, cut flower section, and walking paths. The farm sold 800 flats of blueberries wholesale within a 10-mile radius last season and supplies blackberries to local restaurants from August to October. Tours and discussions on local farming are available, and the farm is deeply integrated into the local community through its CSA and educational programs.
