About the Farm
Background
Located in the Indian Valley region of Floyd County, VA, the farm was established in 2016 by Adrienne Davis and Earl White, former healthcare professionals who moved from California seeking a better quality of life. They began by baking fresh bread for family and friends, which quickly grew into a business known for its commitment to organic ingredients and local food networks.
Practices
The farm employs sustainable farming practices, raising chickens and Icelandic sheep, and growing vegetables organically. Their bakery uses 100% organic, non-GMO grains, locally sourced whenever possible. The long fermentation process of their sourdough enhances both digestibility and nutritional value.
The Rest
The farm's products can be found at local farmers markets, restaurants, and retail stores. They also offer online orders for market pickup. In addition to farming, the owners enjoy playing Appalachian stringband music and often perform at festivals.
