About the Farm
Background
Beekeeping began as a hobby for the husband, with a focus on maintaining hives without the use of chemicals. Over time, they have expanded their production to include extra honey and honeycomb available for purchase.
Practices
No chemicals are used to maintain the hives. Honey is extracted directly from the hive into the extractor, strained for wax particles, and bottled in its natural state.
The Rest
Honey is usually extracted around mid-June or early July. For 2023, extra honey is available and should be available through 2024, including winter. Honeycomb is also available, with containers placed in the hive for the bees to create honeycomb directly in the container. Bottled honey is available in pints for $16 and quarts for $32, while honeycomb is priced at $16 each. For pick-up arrangements, customers are encouraged to email or call.
