About the Farm
Background
Farming since 1975, Butch and Cindy Christ have passed down their love for agriculture to their children and grandchildren. For over 40 years, the family has been selling produce at local farmers markets in the Rochester area.
Practices
The farm does not use any genetically modified seeds and sows seeds directly in greenhouses or fields. No pesticides are used, and organic practices are followed. Sustainable growing methods are employed, and the farm aims to be good stewards of the land. They raise grass-fed beef and have three large greenhouses for vegetable plants, perennials, herbs, and more.
The Rest
The farm offers a Summer/Fall CSA program running for 23 weeks from June to November, and a Winter/Spring program from December to April. They have added new varieties like heirloom tomatoes and organically grown garlic. Additionally, the farm is introducing a bakery and an annual farm-to-table dinner for customers.
