About the Farm
Background
Aradia Farm began nearly 20 years ago in the backyard of the Templeton family in Southbury, CT. Initially raising meat for personal use, the farm expanded to serve family and friends before opening to the community in the summer of 2013. Known for their high-quality grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork, the farm has maintained its commitment to animal welfare and quality throughout its growth.
Practices
The farm emphasizes the best possible care for its animals, hand-raising them and ensuring they receive the highest quality feed. Heritage breeds are raised to thrive on their natural diets, with cattle being grass-fed and finished. Animals are provided with organic vegetables and fruits year-round. The farm's philosophy underscores the importance of knowing what your food is eating.
The Rest
Aradia Farm also produces pasture-raised chickens for egg production, yielding eggs with dark orange yolks and rich flavor. Additionally, the farm offers a variety of products including soap, seasoned firewood, and a meat subscription service. Visitors are welcome to inquire about farming practices or schedule a visit to the farm.
